From our signature SpinnerBaker Jig, to the most fish catching crappie jig heads you can find, our lures are all lead-free. They're made, instead, of a special bismuth alloy that we developed. SpinnerBaker lures feature:
Lead-Free Construction. SpinnerBaker lures are all made of our special alloy, which is mostly bismuth. Two thirds of the bismuth produced in this country or imported into this country is used in cosmetics or medical drugs (bismuth is the "bis" in Pepto-Bismol). Bismuth is much more expensive than lead, but is much more non-toxic to people, animals, and the environment than lead. Our reusable split shot weights are made from pure tin, which also has a low toxicity level.
Premium hooks. All SpinnerBaker lures are built with black chrome Matzuo Sickle hooks. Red Mutzuo hooks are available on request.
Tough and Durable Paint. All painted SpinnerBaker lures use powder paint for a tough and durable finish.
Proven Fish Catching Ability. Our lures don't just look good, they catch fish! Testing is our favorite part of the business, and we've been using what we learn to improve our lures for many years.
Made in America. All SpinnerBaker lures are hand poured and assembled in Crowley, Texas.
