Here are the SpinnerBaker regular tube jig heads. They come in 1/32 oz, 1/16 oz, 1/12 oz, and 1/8 oz sizes. All come with black chrome Matzuo Sickle Hooks. The 1/32 oz has size 6 hooks, the 1/16 oz has size 4 hooks, the 1/12 oz and 1/8 oz both have size 2 hooks. Use the 1/32 oz for 1 inch panfish tubes, the 1/16 oz for 1 1/2 inch crappie tubes, the 1/12 and 1/8 oz for 2 inch tubes. The new 1/12 oz is halfway between a 1/16 oz and 1/8 oz.

With the tapered body these tube jigs have, a tube can be installed without re-tying your line. Just insert the hook near the head of the tube, as shown in the photos to the lower right, and work the tube onto the jig head. Like all our jigs, these tube jig heads are lead-free, made from our special bismuth alloy.

Fishing Tip: These tube jigs are very versatile, and will catch fish no matter how you use them, but they are our favorite lure for vertical crappie fishing, whether we're fishing bridge columns, standing timber, brush piles, or deep dock edges. We like the 1/8 oz heads with 2" Lit'l Hustler tubes the best. If you're fishing shallow, or for suspended fish, the new 1/12 oz is very good. It's also a great choice for fishing under a bobber. You'll wonder why this size wasn't around before. Casting a 2" tube on a 1/12 oz head is really good under a foam bobber for spring spawning fish.

If you want a smaller bait, use the 1/16 oz heads. You may want to add one of our #5 split shot weights 4 to 6 inches above them on the line. That gets them down as quickly as a bigger jig, but you get the action of a smaller jig. You may find that the 1/8 oz or 1/12 oz without a split shot will hang up less, though. Our 1/8 oz tube jigs have a new shape, longer and more slender than before, to rig easier. The 1/8 oz tube jig heads also make a great minnow hook. Most of the weight being near the hook eye gives them great balance, and the long body keeps a minnow from slipping up the hook and getting fowled.

Note: All of our jigs come with black chrome Matzuo hooks. If you prefer red Matzuo hooks, let us know by email or in the comments section of the order, and we'll use them instead.

Good fishing,
Bud Baker
